Drinks

Baekseju translates as "wine for a hundred years". For this home version, you simmer ginseng, goji berries, astragalus, licorice, and cinnamon in water and mix the brew with makgeolli. The drink tastes mildly sweet and herbal, with cinnamon in the finish.
Baekseju (백세주), Korean herbal wine

  • 10 g ginseng root
  • 5 g goji berries
  • 5 g astragalus root
  • 3 g licorice root
  • 2 g cinnamon sticks
  • 1 liter water

Instructions
