Gangjeong is a Korean snack of puffed rice in a honey and sesame glaze. You pour the hot syrup over rice and sesame, spread the mixture on a baking sheet and break it into pieces once it has cooled. The pieces are crisp, sweet and nutty, and go with tea or on a holiday platter.

Ingredients
- 100 g puffed rice
- 120 ml honey
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small pot, heat the honey, sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved completely.
- Reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
- Put the puffed rice and sesame seeds in a large bowl.
- Pour the hot honey mixture over the puffed rice and sesame seeds and stir quickly so everything is evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle lightly with salt and let it cool at room temperature until the mixture hardens.
- Break into pieces and serve.
