Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 150 g fine sugar
  • 150 g flour, sifted
  • 50 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the eggs and sugar in a large bowl until pale and voluminous.
  3. Gently fold in the flour until everything is well combined.
  4. Warm the milk and honey in a small saucepan until the honey has dissolved completely. Let it cool slightly.
  5. Slowly stir the milk and honey mixture and the vanilla extract into the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan, then carefully turn it out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  9. Cut into slices before serving.
